The 1st Polynesian Flag Day is still in plan for July 29th and the 30th. Evening of July 29, 2005 that will be an opening of the Flag Day, which will start at 6:00 pm with Church Services from different Polynesian Churches in Anchorage Alaska. The next morning the 30th of July will be our fun day and parades, and also the flag will be raised on Saturday. There will be no Cricket game, no Volleyball, no Softball, and no Baseball this 1st year due to time and funds, because this Association started last November, and incorporated and registered in the State of Alaska in February 2005.

On February PAOA and the Anchorage School District signed a contract to work together Under the Title I program, to teach the Polynesian and Non Polynesian students from grade K-12 out of 18 elementary and middle schools in Anchorage. The Polynesian Cultural, History, Language, English and Math on each Saturday until May 21, 2005.

This Saturday will be our last Saturday School, and we are celebrating the Polynesian Cultural, clothing, food, languages and games. The Saturday School was taught by 16 certify teachers from the AnchorageSchool District, 8 Certified bi-lingual language teachers and 10  Volunteer teachers for the cultural.

Also the Polynesian Association is now helping all Polynesian that needs help on green cards or immigration paper works. We are working together with our Immigration Lawyer to get this going.

The need of the Polynesian Association at this point is to get an office space as their headquarter to contact business daily. On June 3rd to June 8th, I will be going to DC participated in the National Awareness Day for Hunger. I am going to represent the Polynesian Community. I am looking forward to this trip. I spoke with Congress Eni Hunkin's Assistant (Solomona) today about meeting up with them while I am in DC, and they will let me know.
